A zine themed on the Sungei Road Thieves' Market
This zine captures art created on location at the Thieves' Market, located on Sungei Road, Singapore. Artists used cardboard surfaces to create artworks in a variety of mediums, including charcoal, acrylic and 3D works using objects purchased at the market. From the makeshift surfaces used by vendors to display miscellaneous wares, to the hierarchy in which the goods are displayed, the artworks in the zine magnify the micro characteristics of the market and emulate its bustle.
